- I know I said I would stay away from blogging due to school stuff, but I've got so much on my mind from this weekend. I wanted to share these words I have been thinking on.... It's such a beautiful text! There is no person who can possibly be expected to bear my burdens; that's why it is my delight that I have a Saviour whom I cannot see, but whom I love and can trust.
- What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer! - Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer. - Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there. - Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

Post 100 - Failed
So funny story....
I was all excited about my 100th blog post (mostly because it seems like a big deal in the world of blogging). Part of me also thinks about how it represents the time I've spent writing when I probably could have/should have been doing something else..... But that's beside the point! :-)
Anyway, I was eagerly anticipating the time when I could plan out my official 100th blog post. I was trying to think of something really special and creative and slightly different that I could do. The "teacher" side of me wanted to post an assortment of things that kids have brought in for their "100th day of school" celebration.
The "inspired" side of me wanted to blog about 100 verses of the Bible that have made a difference to me and why.
The "fun and funky side" of me wanted to post "100 random things about me."
But that persistent ol' practical side of me just kept winning out and saying, you better work on that homework. Blogging can wait, and it just would not be the most profitable use of your time to blog about 100 of anything!
And then I was just passing through blogspot today and I happened to glance at my number of posts. Guess what it already said?.....
Yup! It said "100 blog posts." No way! I don't remember doing the 100th one yet. But somewhere along the line I must have lost track and written an extra post.
Oh well though. It is almost a freeing thing, because now I don't have to worry about post #100. It's already been used up ;-)
I should mention little blog that you won't see me until maybe the second week of May. I must needs take a break from blogging in order to accomplish all these major school assignments. So I shall keep pressing on and I will pick up the posts when I have some free time again.
