Using these instructions.... (from my genius little brother) |
I set out to make a pizza. |
I put all of said ingredients together (plus a few more) |
And the end result was pretty yummy. Thanks Wesley! :-) |
Welcome to the charming corner of the world of this Wanna-Be-Country Girl! {Finding joy in the simple things} *Wriggly Puppies*Quiet time*Phone conversations*Sweet tea*A Good Book*Sunshine*Grace*
Do you remember that old black and white classic, "The Andy Griffith Show?" The heart of the show was the town of Mayberry, full of charming characters each weaving their own quirky antics into the story.
There is something undeniably appealing to me about the friendly down-home feel of the town's atmosphere. I guess if you tried to capture the type of girl I am in snapshots, that's what you'd end up with. I like the idea of having less things, and finding more joy in them; when kids work to buy a shiny red bike with their allowance, and strangers wave to each other on the street, and classic converse chucks are brand spanking new. This is a world where students recite the Pledge of Allegiance and pray before class begins, and where the people are not perfect, but they know that and they are genuine in their love for one another.
I am not so naive as to think I live in a world that works like this. But you must know that I possess a heart that craves this. And some of these crazy busy college days I will not deny that I find myself....
Missing Mayberry.
Hey girl! That pizza looks delish!
ReplyDeleteAny plans for the return to SA yet??

Thanks Melanie! It was a great pizza :-) Right now I'm praying for direction and perfect peace to proceed ahead. Claiming Psalm 16:11. "Thou wilt show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy, at you right hand there are pleasures forevermore."
